As the pioneer and tester of sharing economy, Zipcar aims at a car-renting model as easy as withdrawing money from the ATM. It hopes cars available around the city can be used by people in an easier, more convenient and liable way. People can book and unlock a car in a few seconds at any time without any obstacles between people and cars.
Robin Chase found out that it would bring along a series of benefits when traditional car using be changed: first, every car can be utilized at its fullest capacity so as to reduce car possession and parking occupancy ratio; second, it can reduce carbon use, becoming more friendly to the earth and the climate.
As part of the 2015 EMBA autumn curriculums, we invite with sincerity the founder of Zipcar and the writer of the best seller Sharing Economy: Way Towards Future Business Model Restructure—Ms. Robin Chase to share with us knowledge of property, data and minds.
