On November 16th, 2013, “The 2nd EMBA Football League of China’s Top Universities in 2013” hosted by the EMBA football club of Antai College of Economics and Management (ACEM) of SJTU came to a successful close. The champion of southern division, the team of SJTU, and the champion of northern division, the team of BIMBA, played in the final in Shanghai. And the team of SJTU won the final with the score of 1:0, with its player Dang Shengzu titled as “The Gold Boot” of Shanghai division.

12 teams from 13 universities participated in this league. They were Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB), Fudan University, Zhejiang University, Xiamen University, Tongji University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SHUFE), East China University Of Science and Technology (ECUST), Tsinghua University, Peking University, etc. The games began at the Guangming Stadium in Minhang campus of SJTU on October 19th. Champions of divisions were determined on November 9th, and the final was on November 16th, it was almost one month from the beginning. The EMBA team of SJTU progressed with the advantage of goal difference from8 teams after 56 games of 7 rounds in Shanghai division. The second, third, and fourth places were respectively taken by CEIBS, CKGSB, and Zhejiang University. Tongji University and Xiamen University were titled as “The Best Organizer Award”. ECUST was titled as “The Best Sportsmanship Award”. The joint team of Fudan University and SHUFE was titled as “The Best Participation Award”.

As the initiator of “The 2nd EMBA Football League of China’s Top Universities in 2013”, EMBA of ACEM fully took the advantage of SJTU being a comprehensive university, with the strong support from university leaders, and the international standard football court and referee team provided by School of P.E.. Liu Xinxu, the chairman of the league committee and EMBA football club ofACEM, initiated the social benefit activity of “handing a pair of football shoes to the poor children, fulfill their football dreams”. The raised donations would be handover to the children by “The Hope Football Development Foundation”. In the future, this activitywill benefit the migrant worker’s children in Shanghai’s elementary schools and the schools in rural areas of Guangxi and Guizhou etc. This activity fully practiced the mission of “Contributing management wisdom, cultivate moral leaders for social economicdevelopment” of Antai EMBA. “We believe that, while building the platform for the football teams of top business schools, and promoting the social benefit program which fulfills the football dream of poor children, we showed Antai EMBA’s talents, improved our organization ability, and accumulated experience for our brother universities hosting next year” said Ma Wenyu, the director of Antai EMBA office of SJTU.
