Having been in China for more than ten years, being capable to speak good Chinese, I once believed I am one of the experts of China market. After the confrontation between the cutting edge management knowledge, and the Chinese business realities revealed by local top managers sitting in the same classroom, I discovered lots of new facades.
Chinese companies are now competing directly with foreign multinationals. They are also highly innovative, in terms of business model and market adaptation. A reverse technology transfer to foreign companies can be observed is emerging.
The more you learn, the more you are humble but confident. It is highly valuable that lots of "untold stories" are discussed in and out of the classroom. I now feel more comfortable with my challenging business in China."
